Bulls -German Engineered Performance eBikes made to ride.
The Iconic EVO 1 750’s hardtail design offers great road feedback and snappy acceleration, though its ride would not be considered harsh due to its 27.5x2.4” tires and 120mm travel Suntour fork. Getting you up to speed is a Shimano Deore 10 speed rear derailleur shifting across its 11-42t range, while 180mm Tektro hydraulic disc brakes ensure smooth stopping power. And with Bosch's largest battery offering 750wh of capacity, you'll be able to go the distance.

Urban Arrow - Bring the whole family and all the stuff.
The Urban Arrow can carry quite a load, will turn a lot of heads, and let you bring just about anything along for the ride you'd like. So grab the the kids, the dog, or even go full hero mode by carrying the camping equipment and cooler for your entire posse for the trip. This brand new Urban Arrow Family Cargo line bike might look intimidating, but it rolls, turns, carves, and steers amazingly easy. It's outfitted with two front facing and one rear facing child seat with belts, of which one can be removed if strictly a hauling machine. The Enviolo continuously variable transmission takes the thought out of traditional shifting and makes finding the perfect range quiet and easy. Your pedal power is delivered through a smooth and quiet Gates carbon belt drive. Since this is a special bike, we also throw in (1) free extra Bosch 500wh power pack to help carry the load for a total of 1000wh capacity. *Adam and his two yong sons use this bike and a Bulls24E when they ride the GAP, allowing the boys to take turns pedaling vs. cruising in the front bucket. We even have a custom set up to allow the UA to tow a bike if needed.
Don't see what you like here? Give us a call (412-495-6374) or email (asr@adamsolarrides.com) and we'll find the exact right bike for you. We have 200+ new and used eBikes at ASR and will work to get you on the bike of your dreams for the ride of your life!
**Acoustic GAP Bike Rentals are also available** Details coming soon.
Pricing:
eBike rentals are based on a single price for either GAP (150miles) or GAP and C&O (335miles) rides rather than daily pricing. This includes a bike that is fully outfitted for the adventure, along with our Easy Riding Policy. *Most GAP riders take ~3-5 days and GAP+C&O riders take ~5-8 days.
Outfitted for Adventure:
You get all the things. Every ASR ebike rental comes standard with: Rear rack with full panniers, rack top bag, pannier and rack top bag rain covers, fender(s), mirror, lights, battery key, charger, and bike chain lock. Tool kit includes tire levers, spare tube, multi tool, air pump, chain lube, and a rag. Helmets are included as well, please specify your size (S, M, L). ASR is happy to provide $750+ in accessories for our guests included with their rental. If you have any other accessory request let us know and we'll do our best to accommodate you.
Battery Range and Charging:
Many factors can affect range, but a good general ball park is a minimum of 25 miles per charge and up to 80+ miles per charge.
Bosch battery pack capacity sizes include 400wh, 500wh, 625wh, and 750wh.
You can charge your eBike battery on your bike with the supplied charger, or use the key to remove the battery to charge the battery separate from the bike. Sometimes this is good option for opportunity charges if you are pushing big mileage days. Consider charging for an ~hour or so during lunch to gain another ~10-20+ miles of range back. And for the riders who want to chase near triple digit daily mileage, we can rent you additional batteries.
Bosh’s range estimator is also extremely accurate based on your real time riding conditions. You’ll be able to see how many miles you can go in each level of assist. For example, if you see the mileage to your next town is 14 miles, and you only have 10 miles range left in “turbo” mode, switching down to Sport might show 14miles, Tour 20miles, and Eco 27miles
Just remember to plug your bike’s battery in wherever you stop for the night. And keep in mind the bikes still pedal as a regular bike if you were to run your battery out.
Here are typical charge times below based on the battery size with the supplied 4amp charger:
Shuttles:
Most riders meet us at ASR TOUR to pick up their bikes and start the ride. We can deliver bikes in town directly to your hotel at your request for a $25 fee per bike.
And if you plan to ride from DC or Cumberland to Pittsburgh, we can also shuttle bikes to you there.
If riding from Pittsburgh to Cumberland or DC, ASR can pick up and shuttle the bikes back, however we cannot shuttle passengers.
For smaller groups (1-4) and riders that need transportation back to Pittsburgh, we prefer you use one of our suggested 3rd party shuttle service providers, or even consider renting a minivan to drive yourself and the bikes back one way is surprisingly affordable.
For larger groups, (4+), ASR charges the following shuttle rates:
Cumberland Pick Up: 4-6 bikes- $300, 6+ bikes- $400
Washington D.C. Pick Up: 4-6 bikes- $450, 6+ bikes- $600
City and Signature Tours:
If you are coming in to town for a day or two prior, consider taking a City or Signature tour with ASR.
Trail Consultation:
There is a vast amount of knowledge and advice all over the internet from the thousands of riders who've enjoyed the GAP and C&O Trails. However, sometimes there's nothing like hearing it first hand. We offer up to 30minutes of free phone consultation prior to your ride for any other questions or concerns you might have before taking the trip. All rentals come with a current season official TrailGuide book(s) for your group. (please request how many you'd like)
ASR Easy Riding Policy:
ASR strives to offer our riders a hassle free adventure. Bike mechanical failures are extremely rare, but they are possible. To put your mind at ease, ASR is on call (412-495-6374) during your entire ride 24/7 to help with any issues. We have great relationships with locals and bike shops in most towns to refer you for help with any unforeseen circumstances. And if necessary, an ASR Team member will dispatch to the closest town or trail entrance to your location for any issue other than a flat tire (and if you can't change a flat likely a friendly trail rider would offer you help). We will quickly repair your bike trail side, or swap you out for a new eBike rental if necessary to keep the GAP and C&O Adventure going!
Payment:
A 50% deposit is required to book and reserve your bike by check or credit card by phone. There is a $100 cancellation fee per bike rental if you unfortunately can't attend your scheduled ride for any reason. *Your cancellation fee may be used in full as a credit towards another bike trip rental for up to 1 year*
You are going to have an amazing trip and we thank you for choosing ASR to help you with the ride!
